Research studies report that up to 18% of North Americans have had an anxiety related disorder, which is over twice the rate of depression, but you don’t have to have an anxiety disorder in order to suffer from anxiety.
Anxiety, and anxious thoughts, are very common particularly during stressful situations, which are abundant in our society. Anxious thoughts when left unchecked can often progress to depressive thoughts and sometimes even into depression. This is why it is critical to intervene as early as possible as soon as you have any anxious or depressive thoughts.
